A Little Bit Witchy… Summer Solstice Season Circle

To celebrate the longest day and the shortest night, a circle of women gathers by the woods to celebrate the joy of the sun.

Summer Solstice, or Litha, honours the zenith of the bright half of the year: The sun reaches its highest peak; the oak king reigns; the grain goddess swells, and we cannot help but revel in the light. This is a time of strength, power, vitality and… fun!

Join us in our wild women’s circle dedicated to embodying the season’s solar power, where we can embrace our creativity and connect with each other and the earth. 

We’ll share, make and move. We’ll drink tea, tell stories, whisper wisdom and sigh dreams, sharing a collective picnic.

We’ll craft a ritual of colours, and we may even make magic wands. After all, the Summer Solstice is a sacred time for wand-cutting and crafting. And even as we rejoice in the light, we’ll remember to gently coax the return of the dark.

A Little Bit Witchy aims to leave you inspired, more alive to your own magic and with a twinkle in your eye. Warning: it really is a little bit witchy.

About Deborah and Charlotte

Deborah - The Chiltern Sound Spa

Inspired by her personal shamanic work, Deborah trained as a sound meditation practitioner and a sacred cacao ceremony facilitator. She launched The Chiltern Sound Spa at the start of 2018 (under a Blue Moon) to share a broad range of practices that support mindful living and help build a deeper connection with ourselves, each other and mother nature.

Deborah loves trees and has a diploma in Forest Bathing (Shinrin Yoku) from the International Society of Nature & Forest Medicine.

She is studying sacred drumming with the College of Sound Healing and is looking forward to holding shamanic journeying and drumming circles in the summer of 2023.

Deborah's registered with the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine and lives with her family and dog in the Chilterns.

Charlotte - Actor, writer and yoga teacher

Charlotte trained as a ritualist with priestess and master yoga-teacher Sianna Sherman. She has received, taken part in, and created many ceremonies over the years with many wise women: Leila Sadeghee; Bridget Luff; Tanja Mickwitz; Hannah Muse; Uma Dinsmore-Tuli; Vanina Deak; Carolyn Hillyer and soon Isla McLeod. She explores shamanic-dreaming practice with her teachers Manda Scott and Louise Mayer. Her yoga teaching includes the deep relaxation practice, Yoga Nīdra.

Charlotte is inspired by the yoga tradition, mythopoetics, the Celtic Wheel of the Year, the natural world and the humour in everyday life. Charlotte also holds smaller monthly women’s circles in her private home and is delighted to be able to share the joy of intentional sisterhood on a more expansive and expressive scale with Deborah. I hope to see you across the circle soon.
